Second International Workshop on Software Architecture and Metrics

SAM will be held in conjunction with ICSE 2015

The workshop will be organized as a combination of invited presentations and interactive sessions to discuss progress on architecture metrics, measurement, and analysis; to gather empirical evidence on the use and effectiveness of metrics; and to identify priorities for a research agenda.

Authors of papers will present overviews of their research in 7 minutes. We ask participants to prepare three to four slides summarizing:

  • what is your message?
  • what issues are you facing?
  • what question are you proposing for further discussion?

Following the overviews, discussants assigned to each paper will make brief comments (3 minutes), including some combination of

  • how the paper made the discussant think differently about his or her own work
  • some advice for the authors in continuing their work
  • discussion questions based on the presented paper

Each discussant will then lead questions and discussions for about 5 minutes.
