SEI Staff Members Named Fellows of ASQ

Article

David Zubrow and Robert Stoddard of the Software Engineering Institute were recently awarded ASQ (American Society for Quality) Fellow status along with 22 other members of the worldwide organization dedicated to and passionate about quality. ASQ recently named the Fellows based on the members’ distinction and pre-eminence in the technology, theory, education, application, or management of quality control.

Zubrow received Fellow membership status for contributions to the fields of software quality and process improvement as a noted author, speaker and researcher; and for service to the ASQ Software Division as an original member of the CSQE Development Committee, chair of the 11th ICSC conference and founding member of the Software Quality Professional editorial board.

Stoddard received Fellow membership status for contributions to the fields of quality, reliability, Six Sigma, and process improvement as a book author, innovative leader, patent holder, entrepreneur, corporate leader, ASQ certified instructor, long-time active ASQ division leader, and member of the core team initiating the ASQ Certified Software Quality Engineer exam.

The 2016 ASQ Fellows come from companies and organizations such as Honeywell, Cigna, Whirlpool, and Google. ASQ currently has more than 650 active Fellows.

The new Fellows will be honored at a ceremony at ASQ’s World Conference on Quality and Improvement May 16 to18 in Milwaukee, Wis.
