Word Versions of CMMI Models

return to CMMI main page

The model documents released in portable document format (PDF) are the official models to be used and are supported by the CMMI Steward. Further, the official format of all releases of CMMI models will be PDF. PDF is the accepted format used for all SEI documents, and has been approved by the CMMI Steering Group. Further, it is the format chosen to facilitate the development of standards at both the national and international level, where there is a similar need to ensure version consistency and integrity.

However, many of you need more easily extractable model elements. While many of these features are accommodated using the PDF versions of the models, this page provides Microsoft Word versions of CMMI models. Below are the model files currently available in Microsoft Word format:

CMMI-SE/SW/IPPD/SS, V1.1 (Continuous Representation)
CMMI-SE/SW/IPPD/SS, V1.1 (Staged Representation)

CMMI-SE/SW/IPPD V1.1 (Continuous Representation)
CMMI-SE/SW/IPPD V1.1 (Staged Representation)

CMMI-SE/SW V1.1 (Continuous Representation)
CMMI-SE/SW V1.1 (Staged Representation)

CMMI-SW V1.1 (Continuous Representation)
CMMI-SW V1.1 (Staged Representation)

The models provided on this Web page allow you to use selected portions of the material as needed in your process improvement environment. We included the title and copyright pages with each Word document. These pages are a reminder to protect the copyright as you prepare the necessary derivatives for internal process improvement.
