TSP Symposium 2014 Goes Beyond Methodology to Focus on Software Quality

The Team Software Process (TSP) Symposium 2014 technical program will go beyond the core methodology of TSP to encompass a broader range of complementary practices that contribute to peak performance on system and software projects. The unifying theme of the conference is quality. Ultimately, a quality product and service must be delivered on time and within budget, be secure, be sustainable, and provide value to end users. Nominations Sought for 2014 IEEE/SEI Watts S. Humphrey Software Process Achievement Award

Nominations are now open for the 2014 IEEE/SEI Watts S. Humphrey Software Process (SPA) Award. Since 1994, the SEI and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Computer Society have cosponsored the SPA Award. TSP Symposium 2013 Keynotes to Focus on Quality Practices for Critical Software

The Carnegie Mellon University Software Engineering Institute (SEI) has announced the slate of software engineering thought-leaders who will serve as keynote speakers for the Team Software Process (TSP) Symposium 2013. The line-up includes Bill Curtis, senior vice president and chief scientist with Cast Software; Enrique Ibarra, senior vice president of technology of the Mexican Stock Exchange (BMV); and Robert Behler, chief operating officer of the SEI.

CMMI Services To Be Provided Through New CMMI Institute

Carnegie Mellon University has formed a new institute to provide services related to the Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI). The new organization, the CMMI Institute, now manages all CMMI training, certification, licensing, and appraisal services as well as future model development that were previously managed by the Software Engineering Institute (SEI).
