Course Description
|
| |
This three-day course introduces those who are involved in improving workforce management practices or managing technical professionals to the People Capability Maturity Model® (People CMM), Version 2.0, its fundamental concepts, and the value it can bring to organizations using it. The People CMM is a framework that organizations can use to guide attracting, motivating, and retaining a talented technical staff. The practices in the model help an organization be an employer of choice and ensure that the staff has the competencies to achieve an organization's current and future business objectives.
The course is composed of lectures and class exercises with ample opportunity for participant questions and discussions. After attending the course, participants will be able to understand the practices described in the People CMM Version 2 framework and how these practices can be used to improve the workforce management capabilities of their organization. Participants will also be able to describe an organization's ability to develop and evolve its workforce at each maturity level.
This course is a prerequisite for the Intermediate Concepts of the People CMM course, SCAMPI for People CMM Team Training, and SCAMPI for People CMM Lead Appraiser Training.
