Tools & Methods

Achieving interoperability in systems of systems brings a set of challenges that differ from those of traditional development. We offer tools and methods to help an organization achieve the business and mission goals it has set for a system of systems.

Our tools and methods for systems of systems include

  • SOA Migration, Adoption, and Reuse Technique (SMART): If you are migrating legacy applications to a service-oriented architecture (SOA) environment, use SMART to determine what is needed and the costs involved. Think that you do not need to plan? Legacy applications that appear to be 90% compatible with required services in an SOA environment may in fact prove to require substantial effort for adapting to a specific SOA environment. SMART analyses provide reports of the findings and recommendations for keeping the systems interoperability effort on track.
  • Web service verification: This approach aims to certify web services in order to assure they are not malicious to the SOA infrastructure and to accredit them in a vastly shorter period than is commonly done.
