CMMI Version 1.2 Product Suite
Released
The CMMI® Product Team is pleased to announce that CMMI v1.2 is now available. The release of CMMI v1.2 includes improvements to all parts of the CMMI Product Suite in response to issues that have emerged in practice. The changes focus on improving the quality of CMMI products and the consistency of how they are applied.
The CMMI v1.2 Product Suite contains the following items:
- CMMI for Development (CMMI-DEV), V1.2 model
- CMMI Appraisal products:
- Introduction to CMMI V1.2 course
To prepare CMMI users for these improvements, presentations about the changes to the product suite for v1.2 are available at http://www.sei.cmu.edu/cmmi/adoption/cmmiv12-changes.html.
For those who have taken an SEI-authorized v1.1 Introduction to CMMI course, the CMMI Product Team has created online v1.2 Upgrade Training. This online training gives users a convenient way to understand the improvements made to the CMMI Product Suite as part of v1.2. Anyone who will be an appraisal team member on a SCAMPI v1.2 appraisal must take this upgrade training or the v1.2 Introduction to CMMI course.
