Policies

Code of Professional Conduct

The Code of Professional Conduct for SEI Services applies to all SEI Partners and authorized individuals, including those who are SEI employees.

For Individuals

To be considered as a candidate to become authorized or certified, you must fill out and submit the Code of Professional Conduct commitment form for individuals [pdf 72kb] before being permitted into an advanced training class or before an authorization/certification will be given. If you have any questions, please refer to the Partner Network FAQ, or send email to copc-info@sei.cmu.edu.

For Organizations

If you represent an organization that would like to become an SEI Partner, you are expected to read the Code of Professional Conduct for SEI Services before completing the online application. Once an organization has applied and been accepted to become an SEI Partner, the business point of contact will receive a Code of Professional Conduct commitment form for the organization along with the acceptance letter. This commitment form must be completed and submitted to the SEI Partner Network before the Agreement process can begin.

Conflict of Interest Disclosure

A conflict of interest is defined in the Code of Professional Conduct for SEI Services as two or more competing priorities that may compromise an Authorized or Certified Professional, Candidate, or SEI Partner's objectivity. When a situation involving a conflict of interest is inherent or cannot be avoided, Partners must complete and submit the Conflict of Interest Form.

Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)

Course participant records created at the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) in connection with SEI education and training courses are strictly confidential and their protection is mandated under federal legislation known as the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA).
