Ryan Casey joined the SEI Emerging Technology Center as an Infrastructure Engineer in June 2013. His background is in systems engineering with a concentration in large scale Linux system deployment and management.
Casey brings with him over 11 years expertise in systems administration and engineering, three of which were spent as a Linux Engineer within the ITS department at the SEI. His technical background includes automation of host management utilizing unattended installations and host configuration management software, a solid understanding of open source solutions for enterprise services, and forecasting growth needs in an IT infrastructure.
Prior to joining the SEI, Casey was a Linux Engineer at Management Science Associates (MSA) where he assisted in supporting a variety of Linux systems that ranged from desktops to large scale clustered databases. He is currently studying at the Heinz School of Information Systems and Management at Carnegie Mellon University for a graduate degree in Information Security Policy and Management.
