Gail Newton manages high impact, enterprise-wide IT projects providing leadership and direction through all phases of the project life cycle in a strong matrix environment. In addition, Ms. Newton explores and implements new technologies to meet the dynamic business needs of the Institute.

Professional Background

Ms. Newton has been a Senior Project Manager for Information Technology and Security (ITS) at CMU's Software Engineering Institute (SEI) since May 2005. Prior to holding this position, she also held two other positions within SEI's ITS department: Systems Engineer - May 1999 through April 2005 and User Consultant - May 1996 through April 1999. Ms. Newton spent the first 8 years of her professional career as a User Services Programmer for CMU's School of Computer Science before joining the SEI.
