Senior Project Manager

Key Responsibilities

Gail Newton is a PMP and ITIL certified Senior Project Manager for SEI's Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO).   In this role, Newton serves the SEI as a project and portfolio manager of high impact technology services projects. Additionally, she is responsible for establishing and implementing project management methodologies for use across Office of the Chief of Staff/Office of the CIO technology services teams by defining processes and procedures, and providing training and mentoring.


Professional Background

Since May 2005, Newton successfully managed high impact projects primarily for IT technology deployments. She has a background in Systems Engineering and holds a BS in Applied Mathematics/Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University (CMU). Newton is pursuing a Master's in Public Management from CMU's Heinz College with a concentration in Management and Information Security.
