CMMI-DEV Level 2 for Practitioners

This three-day course provides students with an understanding of the concepts they will need to achieve and maintain CMMI-DEV maturity level 2, including the relationships among CMMI-DEV model components. The course is composed of class lectures and exercises presented in a style that creates dialog among students and instructors.

Note: This course was designed for the CMMI for Development (CMMI-DEV) models. Although much of the material is common and would apply to all CMMI models, this course does not address concepts unique to the CMMI for Acquisition (CMMI-ACQ) model or the CMMI for Services (CMMI-SVC) model.

Students who complete the course will be able to do the following:

  • understand the interrelationships among model components (e.g., practices, goals, and process areas)
  • interpret CMMI-DEV practices at maturity level 2
  • effectively apply CMMI-DEV maturity level 2 concepts in process improvement and appraisal activities

Who should attend?
