Course Description
|
| |
This course has been updated to support the Version 1.2 CMMI® Product Suite. This three-day course introduces those interested in becoming SEI-authorized Introduction to CMMI Version 1.2 course instructors to details of the CMMI models and the Introduction to CMMI Version 1.2 course. The candidate instructors must have an evident in-depth understanding of CMMI models as well as effective teaching and facilitation skills to satisfactorily complete this course.
The course is composed of lectures, participant presentation of Introduction to CMMI Version 1.2 course material, and work assignments that are completed before and during the week the course is offered. An entry exam determines if applicants are prepared to take the course. After successfully completing the course, participants will qualify as candidate Introduction to CMMI Version 1.2 course instructors. To become authorized, candidate instructors must be observed by a qualified observing instructor and receive a satisfactory evaluation. Authorized instructors may teach the Introduction to CMMI Version 1.2 course within their own organizations or in other organizations, depending on their sponsoring organization's licensing agreement with the SEI.
This course is a prerequisite for becoming an SEI-authorized Introduction to CMMI Version 1.2 course instructor.
Note: Starting in April 2007, all CMMI Instructor Training applicants will be required to successfully complete an Instructor Training entrance exam (which was previously given on the first day of the course) before their registration is confirmed for a specific offering of CMMI Version 1.2 Instructor Training. The exam fee is $250 and is not included in the course fee.
