I, the undersigned, intending to be legally bound, hereby:

1. Certify that I am a government employee and any texts and/or any other materials ("Materials") that I have supplied to CMU in conjunction with the Paper and/or that I display or use in the Paper were prepared within the scope of my official duties and that as such, the Materials are not subject to U.S. copyright protection.
2. Acknowledge that CMU may publish, reproduce, distribute, sublicense, and otherwise use all or part of the Paper and/or Materials in any manner and medium for any purpose that the University deems consistent with its status as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization (and to grant others the right to do so).

I waive any right I may have to inspect or approve any finished product containing the Paper and/or Materials and I waive any claim to further consideration or compensation for any rights granted hereunder. I hereby fully release CMU, its trustees, officers, employees, and agents from all rights or claims that I may have against CMU arising out of the uses contemplated by this authorization. I am an adult, competent to sign this document. I am signing it voluntarily, having read and understood it. This document represents my entire understanding regarding the use of my Paper by CMU and supersedes any and all oral and written understandings with respect thereto.
