Cyber Research for a Secure Tomorrow

The CERT Division, one of three collaborative divisions at the SEI, objectively researches complex software engineering, cyber operations, and artificial intelligence (AI) engineering solutions; matures these solutions; and facilitates their transition into practice. Once a Computer Emergency Response Team formed in 1988 in response to the Morris Worm, today the CERT Division leads as a Cybersecurity Engineering and Resilience Team conducting collaborative and innovative evidence-based research to fortify the cyber ecosystem and protect national security and prosperity. This fact sheet describes the CERT Divisions research goals, how the SEI can work with your organization, and how you can engage with the SEI.
