The Carnegie Mellon University Software Engineering Institute approach to software system modernization incorporates many of our proven technologies, solutions, and experience from decades of helping government and industry organizations. Our approach directs organizations through a structured set of activities designed to incrementally modernize software systems. This approach aligns business and mission goals with activities that are realistic and achievable given organizational context (e.g., existing assets, staff capabilities, and infrastructure targets). We help organizations achieve their modernization goals in a measured, incremental manner.
