Abstract
MBSE as a practice covers many aspects of the business and enterprise architectures including enterprise goals, objectives, capabilities, operational processes, and many others. Many organizations struggle with integrating MBSE into ongoing architecture development process trying to define the appropriate inception point. The uncertainty may be amplified by the organization objectives, process maturity level, and availability of the architectural artifacts. This presentation will discuss an opportunity to introduce MBSE in the preliminary analysis of enterprise architecture that can lay the foundation for further modeling of the organizational structure, capabilities, underlying systems, and information managed in them.
