Decoding SWP Metrics

The Pack Light, Measure Right Tactical Guide provided programs with principles that enable them to “measure right” and develop metrics as part of their acquisition strategy. This Supplement shows the hidden value in the metrics collected by those on the Software Acquisition Pathway. This Supplement provides tables that list each SWP-required metric with a unique ID number (ID#), map some of the key PMO questions to the metrics, and recommend combinations of those metrics. These tables were developed using a simplified version of the Goal Question Indicator Metric (GQIM) process, which the SEI uses to help programs develop goal-driven measurement programs. This Supplement also provides some data sources where programs can pull data.
