Abstract
This report describes the results of the Workshop on the State of the Practice in Dependably Upgrading Critical Systems held April 16-17, 1997, at the Software Engineering Institute. The workshop addressed various issues associated with dependability and cost-effective upgrading systems, primarily those with reliability or real-time requirements.
