Julie B. Cohen

Julie B. Cohen has been at the SEI for over 20 years. She is currently supporting the several programs to include E-7, two line research projects, and work for the DoD Chief Information Officer. She has been involved in the SEI support for radar systems, the Advanced Extremely High Frequency satellite ground systems software effort and a major contributor to the Veteran's Health Administration support, to include long-term support of efforts to modernize the VHA's scheduling system.

Past efforts include a 3-year Individual Personal Act (IPA) assignment to the Transformational Satellite Program (TSAT) where she served as the Deputy Program Manager for the TSAT Mission Operations Systems segment. Prior to the IPA assignment Cohen worked mainly Air Force programs including support to TSAT, the Global Positioning System (GPS) program, and Command and Control System Consolidated (CCS-C).

Prior to joining the SEI, Cohen was a Program Manager at Brashear LP, leading the development effort for the fire control system for the Army’s next generation infantry weapon. She also served in the United States Air Force for 20 years. Her career included various assignments in the acquisition career field including the Trainer Aircraft Program Office, the F-16 Program Office, the Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center, the Human Engineering Division of the Air Force Research Laboratory and as an exchange officer with the Royal Air Force Institute of Aviation Medicine.
